President's Message
— Toward the next ten, twenty, and 100 years! —
I am Kinya Hashimoto, the newly appointed president of Nakayamafuku. Since its establishment in March 1925 as the household metalware wholesaler Nakayama Fukumatsu Shoten, Nakayamafuku has undergone many transformations to grow into a trader of a wide range of home-use products, from kitchen and dining products to storage, leisure, and gardening products. This is thanks to the customers, supplying manufacturers, and shareholders who have favored us with their patronage for many years, as well as to our predecessors and current employees who have spared no effort toward our growth, and I am deeply grateful to all of them.
However, as we approach our 100th anniversary, we face unprecedented economic conditions that are difficult to predict. In order to thrive in this era and look toward the next 100 years, we will adapt to the ever-changing environment, strive to grasp shifting consumer needs, and enhance the existential value of our wholesale business as a bridge delivering products to consumers more than ever before. We will also establish a business model capable of withstanding drastic changes in our operating environment by further reinforcing businesses such as manufacturing and e-commerce.
While remaining sensitive to the changing times, we will continue our transformation into a company that is essential not only to our customers but also to society at large. We hope for your steady support and guidance going forward.
